How we compare California notary classes
We believe a competitor comparison should be easy to verify. This page documents the public sources used for the EZ Notary Class comparison with the National Notary Association (NNA).

How we built the comparison
We compare the publicly advertised California online training offers shown on each company’s website and publicly available third-party review information. Competitor pricing, features, access and ratings can change. When a source is ambiguous, we note that below rather than hiding the ambiguity.
6-Hour Online Class Price
EZ Notary Class: $79NNA: $199
NNA’s California Required Notary Classes page lists its California Required 6-Hour Notary Online Training at $199. Its California training overview also lists the Online Notary Course at $199.
California Notary Practice Tests
EZ Notary Class: MultipleNNA: 1 Practice Test*
NNA’s specific California Required Notary Classes product page describes the $199 online course as including “a practice exam.” A separate NNA California training overview uses the plural phrase “practice exams.” Our homepage comparison uses the singular description on NNA’s specific $199 product page. We disclose the different wording here so visitors can review both sources themselves.
Loan Signing Agent Certification
EZ Notary Class: IncludedNNA: Separate, from $199*
NNA lists Signing Agent Training and Exam separately from its California required notary training. NNA’s current Signing Agent Certification Standard package is $199 and includes training, an exam and background screening. Its Professional package is currently $249.
Online Support
EZ Notary Class: Your InstructorNNA: Customer Staff*
EZ Notary Class students can contact the instructor directly for course help by phone and live chat. NNA operates a different support model that includes Customer Care and the NNA Hotline. NNA also states that an online-course student who wants more review time with an instructor may attend a live class at no additional cost.
The short homepage label “Customer Staff” is intended to distinguish EZ’s direct instructor-access model from NNA’s broader organizational support model. It is not intended to imply that NNA has no instructors or educational support resources.
Trustpilot Ratings
EZ Notary Class: 4.9NNA: 2.0
On September 7, 2026, Trustpilot displayed a 4.9 TrustScore for eznotaryclass.com and a 2.0 TrustScore for the National Notary Association. These are company-level Trustpilot ratings, not ratings limited specifically to California online-course customers. Ratings and review counts can change at any time.
Why we emphasize support
NNA’s Trustpilot profile includes several 2026 reviews in which individual customers report extended phone waits or difficulty reaching customer service. Other reviewers report positive support experiences. Individual reviews are personal experiences and should not be interpreted as NNA’s average hold time or as the experience of every NNA customer.
