Bond & insurance
Your surety bond and E&O insurance
Every new California notary needs a $15,000 surety bond. If you plan to do loan signings, most companies will only hire you with E&O insurance, so we recommend getting both.
Bonds and insurance are sold by our partner, SwiftBonds. E&O insurance can only be bought together with the bond.

Before you order
When will my stamp ship?
Your stamp is made with your name and commission number, so we make and ship it once you’ve received your commission from the Secretary of State.
I already bought the Notary Kit. Do I need the Loan Signing Kit?
If you plan to do loan signings, yes. The Loan Signing Kit adds the jurat stamp, disclaimer stamp, a slim notary stamp and sign-here flags. If you order both, we ship everything together.
Do I need E&O insurance?
The State of California only requires the $15,000 surety bond. E&O insurance is optional, but most title and signing companies require it before they’ll hire a loan signing agent.
